Robbie Blakelock is a Consultant with the Christchurch office specialising in environmental noise and building acoustics.
Robbie's involvement in a wide range of musical and performing arts groups kindled his interest in acoustics at an early age. While studying, Robbie spent four months with Marshall Day's Christchurch office and once he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering he returned to Marshall Day in 2011. Robbie has since spent considerable time working on a wide range of projects covering the design, assessment and computer modelling of building services noise, environmental noise and room acoustics. He has also worked on environmental noise management from industrial activities including mining and commercial operations, as well as developing 3-dimensional computer noise models in SoundPlan. He has recent involvement in building projects, with experience on brand new developments, redevelopments and extensions to existing facilities.
